There is both a competition pool (eight lanes, 25 yards in length), and a leisure pool at the North Arundel Aquatic Center, City of Glen Burnie, Maryland. The recreational pool has a shallow entry and three lanes for swimming the 20 yards. There is a 134-foot water slide, a splash zone, water buckets, a vortex zone, a water slide specifically designed for toddlers, and an adult spa pool.
Coin-operated lockers can be found in the facility's well-appointed locker facilities. The North Arundel Aquatic Center is open every day of the week, though there are set times each day for swimming and use of the water features. Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to enter without an accompanying paying adult. No swim diapers are allowed, thus everyone who uses the pools must be able to use the restroom independently.
Families with children over the age of 3 and a parent or guardian of the opposite sex are welcome to use the family locker rooms. Before accessing the pool, all guests must first take a shower. The pool deck is a no-shoes zone. Only swimwear suitable for a family setting is permitted. Please refrain from wearing shorts with a loose fit or sports motifs. You should bring your own towel because there won't be any available.
Admission to the water park and the lap pool are priced differently. Each session can include up to 125 people. They sell some tickets through our website and the rest directly at our venue. Tickets are only valid for the specified session time. After each use, the locker rooms and pool are emptied.
The online store opens at 11:59 pm the night before, while the retail store opens at 8 am. Tickets should be purchased as soon as they go on sale, according to the venue.
General admission is $20 and can be paid for with cash, checks, or major credit cards at the box office. You can only buy 15 tickets if you're an adult. On the day of a session, tickets are only available for purchase online and typically sell out quickly. You can't buy tickets to the water park online and use them at a later date.
To get the Anne Arundel County resident discount, you must provide a valid government-issued ID to the facility personnel upon arrival. In order to qualify for a discount due to military service or a disability, proper documentation must be filed.
Children under the age of 12 are not permitted without a paying, accompanying adult (aged 18 or over). For every 5 children under 13, one paid adult must be present.
The minimum age for participants is 3, and they must be completely potty trained. None of the following are permitted: diapers, swim diapers, pull-ups, plastic-lined swimsuits, "swimmies," or any other "just in case" items. Those who don't fulfill either standard will be asked to keep their distance from the pool and its grates and will not be allowed to enter the water. Check out National Aquarium.
